Therapy for Trauma
It takes courage and strength to confront the distressing feelings or thoughts that may be lingering.
It's not easy to navigate the aftermath of such events, and it's okay to seek support.
You are not defined by your trauma. You are a resilient individual capable of facing your truth and healing. The overwhelming emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations you may be experiencing can be addressed with the help of trauma therapy.
At Graceful Healing, my therapy for trauma services are designed to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to explore and process the dimensions of your trauma and its impacts on your life. Trauma comes in various forms, from abuse and accidents to discrimination and loss. As a clinical trauma professional, I am here to guide you through the healing journey.
I know from experience how painful it is to carry unprocessed trauma in your everyday life. As a licensed social worker and therapist trained in trauma treatment, I blend multiple modalities and approaches in order to offer you truly customized support. It may not feel like it today, but hope - even joy are possible for your future. Nothing is too big for us to tackle together.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
If you find yourself avoiding certain places or people, experiencing anger, panic, or feelings of disconnection following a traumatic event or situation, these may be signs of post-traumatic stress symptoms. Many people experiencing PTSD seek out therapy for trauma because their symptoms cause them to feel unsafe in the world, and they feel unable to handle daily life. If you are experiencing PTSD, there is hope. It doesn’t have to feel this way forever. This isn’t the “new” you. Therapy can be a transformative step towards understanding and alleviating the wounds of trauma.
While the journey to recovery may seem challenging, I am here to gently untangle your trauma story, help you heal your wounds, and recover your sense of safety.
